Eskisehir is a province of Turkey and the most populous twenty-fifth city. It was the Metropolitan Municipality by law issued in 1993. The population is 887,475 according to TUIK statistics in 2019. The city passing through the Porsuk River is a student city because of the presence of Osmangazi University, Eskişehir Technical University and Anadolu University.
