The aspect affecting the price of tuition for students around the world is the level of the degree they are ready to pursue. In Turkey, undergraduate degrees tend to span 4 years, while master’s degrees are typically 2, and PhD programs vary – sometimes including up to 3 years of research. As is mentioned above, students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Turkey should expect to pay between 250 and 1500 USD each year, depending upon the language they speak and the institution they choose. Those ready to enter in a graduate program can expect to pay 300 to 900 USD.While public schools vary ever so slightly depending on the degree level, private institutions offer various degree for comparable prices – ranging from 2500 to 20,000 USD. However, it is important to bear in mind that many private universities in Turkey offer generous scholarships depending on the nature of your degree.

Registration consists of Academic Registration (you must submit the required documents) and Financial Registration and both must be completed in order for students to become fully registered with the University. You may click hereto see the universities and their required documents.

YÖS means International Students Exam in Turkey. If you want to Study in Turkey as an international student, you must pass this exam with a good score when it comes to Public universities. The language of the YOS (International Students Exam) is Turkish and English. YÖS generally includes IQ, Math and Geometry questions, however some universities have its own exam model.

PS: The YÖS exam is requested in the public universities, and when it comes to the private ones it’s not required.

The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a globally recognized college admission test that lets you show colleges what you know and how well you can apply that knowledge.

The TOEFL (“Test of English as a Foreign Language”) is a standardized test that measures a test-taker's mastery of the English language. TOEFL scores are primarily used by universities as part of the admissions process. Typically, those who take the TOEFL want to attend university or graduate school abroad.

A reference letter is one of the mandatory documents that are required for admission to the university. This type of letter is required for application as a stamp of integrity, capability and character of the candidate, applying for a study program.

The motivation letter (also known as “statement of purpose”) is a document where you describe your professional competence and personal motivation about choosing to study a particular study field at a particular university.

The Turkish Proficiency Exam (TPE) is an exam developed by the Yunus Emre Institute Exam Center in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, for the purpose of assessing the language proficiency of individuals learning Turkish as a foreign or native language. TÖMER Exam is a similar test such as the TPE and is a major prerequisite for entry into Turkish state and Turkish language programs.

It’s also accepted by all universities in Turkey.

You should have the maximum copies that will cover you on the application period, also a backup in case anything happens “Case of missing documents”.

Yes, it’s important to have both. But usually officially certified copies are enough.

You have two options to make your translated documents to be accepted by Universities:

  • Translate into Turkish and notarize your Diploma & Transcript, and get your documents approved by the Turkish Embassy in your country.
  • Make the Turkish translation and notarization of your Diploma and Transcript in Turkey.

Your chosen university determines whether your documents need to be certified. Generally, you have to submit all educational certificates and proofs of language proficiency as officially certified copies. This applies both to copies of the certificates in the original language and to copies of certified translations.

The medium of instruction is the language used by the teacher to teach. Teachingthe language, or educational content, through the target language increases the amount of exposure the learner gets to it, and the opportunities they have to communicate in it, and therefore to develop their control of it.

In State universities the medium of education is mainly Turkish, and when it comes to Private universities it’s mainly in both Turkish & English.

A curriculum vitae is a document used to list one's qualifications and apply for employment. It works in much the same way as a resume and provides detailed information about an individual's educational and work history.

When you are selecting your program, make sure that the following points help you to choose the right one:

  1. Divide and conquer. Separate potential programs into categories based on your preferences…
  2. Keep career in mind. ...
  3. Network with faculty. ...
  4. Consult actual grad students. ...
  5. Consider program resources and facilities.

Feel free to contact to TRUCAS for any consultations and suggestions for free

On the other hand, you can find your appropriate program by choosing your discipline preferences,

For example:

  • Business discipline includes:

Accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing

  • Humanities:

Art, history, languages, literature, music, philosophy, religion, theater.

You can find all the programs in the following link: https://TRUCAS.com.tr/programs

This depends on your desired program and the programs teaching languages, for example if the program is in English then you need to provide the English language “TOEFL”, if it’s the case for Turkish then you need to provide the Turkish language like the YÖS… It’s the same case for any other languages.

Heading off to college or university is a rite of passage for many young people, it’s also a big decision to make. These steps would help you to make the perfect choice:

  1. Visit the Campus If Possible

Seeing the school and the area first-hand is essential. Attending open days and university fairs is a good opportunity to meet current students and staff and ask any questions you have; you can also see the facilities first-hand, which will better inform your judgements. If you are motivated about it, TRUCAS can provide you that.

  1. Research the Course Content

It probably goes without saying but your course should be the biggest factor in your overall decision. You will spend at least three years getting to grips with it, and chances are you’ll go on to pursue a career in the same field, too, so you’ll want to be sure that you’re making the right choice, both in terms of subject matter and type of degree.

  1. Look at the Extras

Course curriculums are one thing, but you also need to look at what else your degree is offering: are there work experience placements or internship opportunities,

  1. Consider the Faculty’s Reputation

This tip should be taken with a pinch of salt; rankings don’t tell the whole story, after all. They are a good indicator, though, of the general standing and reputation of the university, which in certain industries can be important.

With the arguable exception of Harvard and Oxbridge, no uni is a world leader in everything. Therefore, it stands to reason that different schools possess different strengths.

  1. Consider the Impact on Your CV

As previously mentioned, where you study can sometimes be just as important as what; it is an ongoing debate within HR and recruitment circles how much stock can be placed in a candidate’s alma mater.

  1. Research the Area

Away from the academic side of things, it’s worth remembering that you have to spend the foreseeable future at your chosen school; this means that you’ll need to like the area that you’ll be living in.

If you want to be in the heart of a big city, then take this into account. Alternatively, if you prefer a more intimate or isolated setting, then factor this into your choices.

  1. Research the Area

It is important to take in consideration when entering university ensuring that it is accredited or recognised in the field that you wish to start a career in.

  1. The university’s recognition

You should have an idea about whether is the university is acknowledged for its existence, validity, and legality. It basically means that you are advised to check if your choice of the university and if that university's diploma is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in your country or else internationally.

To know more about the universities, you can check the link bellow: https://TRUCAS.com.tr/university

There are two kinds of universities:

  • Public university which is a university that is in state ownership or receives significant public funds through a national or subnational government.
  • Private university that are usually not operated by governments that's the reason they have higher fees. Because they are supported primarily by their own endowment funds and students' tuition fees.

According to Turkish law, there are universities, faculties, institutions, and four-year schools. These schools offer degrees at four levels or stages: associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctorate. You can learn more by visiting the link https://ec.europa.eu/education/policies/higher-education/bologna-process-and-european-higher-education-area_en

In most cases, getting a master's degree in a new field is very possible, and while someone with a bachelor's degree from another field may have to take a few courses to qualify for certain master's degree programs, the career shift can be done.

The YÖS exam is the entrance examination of foreign students at the Turkish state universities. This exam will allow students to study subjects such as Medicine, Law, Psychology, Pharmacy, Mechanical engineering, Architecture and more in Turkey.

In most cases, the YOS Exam consists of 80 questions. Most of the 45 questions in the exam are the so-called IQ questions (general ability questions, Intelligence Questions). The remaining 35 questions are from Mathematics. One can compare the topics of mathematics that occur in the YÖS exam with the questions of mathematics from the 10th grade in high school.

Some Turkish Universities has Turkish as the teaching language while others will offer the opportunity to learn English. Above all, the high quality of education will make you more than ready for a future anywhere in the world.  Many universities are recommended as suitable host institutions for English speaking students with programs available in English, either at undergraduate level or postgraduate level. As the vast majority of classes are taught in English at most of the foundation universities and some of the state universities, students with an institutional language proficiency score are placed in the undergraduate or postgraduate programs.
